Meet the people behind the cruises and the services:
Agnes says amongst the senior staff, she could be called the ‘youngest’ as she has worked for the company since September 2014 as the Executive Secretary to the young and energetic General Manager of Bali Hai Cruises.
So Agnes, what is it that makes you want to work for Bali Hai Cruises?
“ The money …ha ha ha.. no no. I love working for Bali Hai Cruises because it is fun, nice and friendly staff, we’re just like a big family. I don’t even remember when I last got stressed with my job.”
“ I have never done this role in my previous jobs, and also working in the tourism industry that operates a daily cruise program is a new experience for me. I find it interesting and challenging!”
Challenging in what way Yendra?
“ Monday to Friday is busy with lots of work to do and deadlines to meet. It’s challenging but I love keeping myself busy.”
Agnes, is your day much like Yendra’s?
“ It is very busy in the morning and late afternoon because guests come and go after the cruise.”
I know it won’t be easy to do but if you had to choose your 3 favourite things to do on Nusa Lembongan, what would they be Agnes?
“Banana boat ride, parasailing and diving.”
Same for you Yendra?
“Snorkeling, diving and visiting Devil’s Tears.”
Ok so now our guests know more about your work and how you like to spend your time on Nusa Lembongan, a very serious and important, hard-hitting journalist question…. if you had to pick a song to describe yourself, what would it be?
Agnes: “ Independent Women by Destiny’s Child”
Yendra: “ Paradise by Coldplay”
PS: Say hi to Yendra and Agnes when you visit! We’ll be featuring our fantastic staff as well in the future – stay tuned for more!
