Bali’s Main Port of Marine Arrivals and Departures

Benoa port Bali, Benoa Harbour Bali

Benoa Harbour is Bali’s main port and can be easily seen as you are coming into the airport. The difference in tides means some days you see enormous cruise ships docked in the bay, and sometimes you see fishermen waist deep in water almost a kilometre off the shore! Bali Hai actually regularly charters it’s vessels for tender service / crew transfer services for prestigious, world-renowned cruise companies arriving in Bali via Benoa harbour such as Royal Caribbean cruises, Princess Cruises and Carnival Cruises.
Bali Hai’s main offices are in Benoa and for all our cruises, this is where guests check in and board our Castaway cruise boats, or our Sunset dinner cruise,  or head over to our activities pontoon and Lembongan island for diving, snorkeling or general relaxing and lazing around on the beach.
cruiseliner in BenoaBenoa is a commercial harbour with small fishing jukungs sitting alongside cruise boats, flat bottomed barges, and the beautiful old timber fishing boats that would go out for days at a time. It always looks like a boat carpark and sometimes the boats are so closely ‘parked’ you could simply step from one to the other.

Jukung Bali, Traditional Boat Bali

However it is a very organised harbour, as you’ll see when you Bali Hai transport drops you at reception. Our staff are waiting to greet you and ensure you head to your cruise on time, with a coffee, tea or beer waiting for you! The harbour is central to water sports in Bali and now with the toll road, you can be on a cruise boat within half an hour of leaving your hotel in Jimbaran, Kuta, Seminyak or Sanur. And if you haven’t been to Benoa before and the sound of a busy port worries you – absolutely no need! We arrange transport for all our guests straight from your villa or hotel and bring you to our reception where our staff will check you in and make sure you head to your cruise safely and on time.
But if you do happen to get to the harbour early, take the time to wander around our large reception area, talk to our staff about all the activities we can arrange for you, then sit in our gardens and watch the comings and goings of daily harbour life.
Then it’s time to board your cruise, put your feet up, plan a day of diving, snorkelling, swimming and relaxing, and let Bali Hai Cruises show you the best of Benoa Harbour and the stunning waters and islands around Bali!

Happy cruising!
